From his studios in Milan and Rome, Michele De Lucchi
works on a wide range of projects, from industrial design to visual
communication, from designing exhibitions, stands, interiors to the design of
buildings for both public and private use. During the years of Architettura
Radicale he was a major force in the group Cavart; he took part in the Studio
Alchimia and was one of the founders of Memphis.
Since 1979 he has been a design consultant for Olivetti; since 1992
responsible for the design of all Olivetti’s office products. In the field of
industrial design he has worked for Artemide, Kartell, Mandarina Duck,
Pelikan, Poltrona Frau; he has also run major graphics and corporate identity
projects for the Poste Italiane, the Ferrovie dello Stato, and Enel.
He has taught in various universities and recieved a number of
international awards.
