With an approach which demonstrates a new simplicity in design, the work of Morrison interprets formal and functional values which are recreated according to traditional principles.

Graduating from Kingston Polytechnic School of Design in 1982 and the Royal College of Art in 1985; in 1984 he won a scholarship to study at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. In 1986 he opened his studio Office for Design and began working with a number of firms. His work also includes exhibition design and public spaces. He took part in the exhibition “Documenta 8” in Kassel (1987) – for which he created the Reuters New Centre – and “Design Werkstadt” (1988) at the gallery DAAD in Berlin with the project “Some new items for the house, I”.
